Sir Alex Ferguson claims a nucleus of Premier League stars will help Scotland make a significant impact at this summer's European Championships.
Following a dramatic play-off victory against Serbia last November, a steadily developing Scotland side led by Steve Clarke qualified for their first major tournament since 1998.
Goalkeeper David Marshall was the hero on that night, making a crucial save in a tense penalty shootout that brought Ferguson to tears, particularly when combined with Ryan Christie's emotional post-match interview.
Scotland will start the tournament with a roster of players that will be sought after by all other nations.
‘They've been doing admirably. When asked about Scotland's chances, Ferguson said, "I think it's the old story, the scoring of goals."
‘Their quality of success has been excellent, and I have been impressed.' When I look at the midfielders, I believe they are on par with everyone playing in England.
And (Kieran) Tierney has been incredible at Arsenal, completely incredible, and (Andy) Robertson has been incredible at Liverpool for the last two years.'

Tierney is fighting to be fit in time for the tournament after suffering a knee injury against Liverpool earlier this month, but his Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he is making good progress.
Meanwhile, Ferguson is ecstatic about McTominay's improvement, comparing him to another of his former charges, Darren Fletcher. ‘
And (Scott) McTominay is quickly establishing himself as one of Man United's key players. When you watch Man United put together a lineup for a big game, you'll notice that McTominay is in it. Excellent teacher, excellent character
I know a little about the young man. 'I signed him when he was about seven or eight years old.' He used to play center-forward as a child.
McTominay is a similar style to Darren (Fletcher) when he first arrived, tall, lanky, good winner of the ball, good change of pace going forward, nice attitude to the game.
It gives me a lot of pleasure to see a Scott emerge.' And (John) McGinn's output at Aston Villa has been outstanding. Norwich's (Kenny) McLean has had a fantastic season.
'As a result, I'm upbeat.' The crucial thing to remember about the home games is that, although there are just 12,000 in attendance, 12,000 at Hampden, when they get going, is equivalent to 50,000 at Wembley. We will make it happen.
