According to The Mirror, Denis Zakaria is a strong prospect to replace midfielder Granit Xhaka at Mikel Arteta's Arsenal.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal is interested in signing Zakaria from Borussia Monchengladbach during the summer transfer season.
The 24-year-old is one of the midfielders under consideration by Arsenal manager Arteta.
Xhaka is expected to join AS Roma for £20 million, and defensive midfielder Zakaria is a “prime candidate” to take his position.

DENIS ZAKARIA IS WHAT KIND OF PLAYER IS HE?
Zakaria is mostly a defensive midfielder, but the Switzerland international can also play as a box-to-box midfielder.
The former Young Boys player can both score and create chances.
Last season, the 24-year-old made 15 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga.
In those games, Zakaria had one goal and one assist.
Uli Forte, Zakaria's former Young Boys coach, detailed what the 24-year-old is capable of earlier this month.
Mondo Napoli quoted Forte as saying at the time, as translated here on HITC Sport: "I gave Zakaria his debut" (at Young Boys). He is a fantastic box-to-box midfielder. He has excellent technique and plows through the miles.
“All of his qualities were recognized from an early age, and they earned him his debut at the age of 18. He has had offers from England and possesses the necessary characteristics for the Premier League.
“At the European Championships, he was recovering from a serious injury and did not play. He'll develop into a lethal player. Zakaria is a winner.”
If Arsenal is able to sign Zakaria this summer, he will be an upgrade over Xhaka.
