'Fantastic news', 'A bad decision': Some Arsenal fans react to hearing club's stance on starlet's future

A number of Arsenal fans have rushed to Twitter to remark on Football London claims to indicate that the Gunners are unlikely to loan Miguel Azeez out for the upcoming season.

Azeez has been one of the more intriguing players in the Gunners' preseason so far.

He scored a fantastic goal against Watford. He quickly followed it up with a stunning long-range finish for the under-23s.

It comes after he had a fantastic year with the kids. He also made his Europa League debut for Mikel Arteta's side.

And it appears that Arteta plans to use the 18-year-old a lot more in the coming months.

Arsenal is unlikely to loan Azeez out for the upcoming season, according to Football London.

‘Going the Foden road,' say Arsenal fans in response to news of an Azeez loan.

Some believe that he might profit far more with a loan move. Some appear to have reservations regarding Arteta's use of him.

However, most people appear to be pleased with Azeez's decision to stay. They have big expectations. And they believe he has the potential to become a much more important player this season.

With that in mind, here's how some fans reacted to the reports...

    That's fantastic news.

    superior to Elneny

This is one child that has a lot of potentials to help us in the area where we need it the most on the field. His poise on the ball is much ahead of his years, and I genuinely hope Arteta treats him as Wenger treated Cesc. Man, you're a baller.

I'd rather have him than Elneny.

This, I believe, is a poor decision. We've already seen a reduction in-game time this season, and there's no indication that Arteta would favor him over El Neny. https://t.co/q7Ll3Iard4
