Paul Pogba angry Man Utd "offered him nothing" despite two contract offers

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is ready to join Juventus on a free transfer after rejecting two "nothing" £300,000-a-week contracts from the Red Devils.

A furious Paul Pogba said Manchester United "gave him nothing" at Old Trafford despite turning down two mega-money contract offers.

Last season, the unassuming Frenchman, 29, turned down two contract extensions totaling more than £300,000 per week, which would have made him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League. Pogba, on the other hand, refused to sign a new contract, calling the exorbitant wage an insult.

Following his arrival on a club-record £89 million fee, the creative midfielder has now departed United after six dissatisfied years. Pogba made the remarks in his upcoming Amazon Prime documentary, which will be available on Friday (June 17).

In the penultimate scene of The 'Pigmentary,' the 29-year-old is shown on the phone with late-agent Mino Raiola, revealing his determination to stay at Old Trafford next season. "Did Manchester [United] make a second offer?" Pogba wonders.

To which Raiola said, "Yes. They are desperate for you to stay. The offer, in my opinion, does not represent this. 'If you want him to stay, don't make that offer,' I advised them.

"I will make them understand that if they truly want you to stay and create a project around you, they must act differently this time and put money on the table."

United, on the other hand, had put money on the table. Pogba rejected a whopping £350k-a-week offer to stay at United last summer, according to Daily Star Sport – only David de Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo earn more at the club.

"They're bluffing," Pogba responded emphatically. "How can you tell a player you want him and then offer him nothing?" Never seen anything like that." Pogba is expected to rejoin Juventus on a free transfer after his contract at Manchester United expired.
