After scoring five goals in four games in April, Manchester United's star was named Player of the Month for the second time.
Cristiano Ronaldo has guaranteed that his "hunger for triumph and achievements will never ebb away" after being named Player of the Month for the second time this season.
After some outstanding performances, the Portuguese superstar was voted the Premier League's April award winner. Last month, Ronaldo scored five goals in four outings, assisting his club to a total of four points.
Among his many goals was a magnificent hat-trick that helped United to a 3-2 win over Norwich at Old Trafford, and he also secured his team a point with his equalizer in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea. Ronaldo also found the back of the goal in Arsenal's 3-1 loss at the Emirates Stadium.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner beat out Manchester City trio Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus to earn his second accolade of the season. On Thursday, Ronaldo turned to Instagram to show off the latest addition to his extensive collection of accolades. And the 37-year-old still hopes to win more awards throughout his career.
"This is my second Premier League Player of the Month award, and my sixth in my career," Ronaldo wrote. "I'm as pleased to win today as I was in my early days; the desire for winning and success never fades." Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible."
Ronaldo has been a rare bright spot in an otherwise bleak season for United, continuing his spectacular goalscoring heroics since his return to Old Trafford. In all competitions, the former Real Madrid and Juventus star have scored 24 goals, with his 18 league goals trailing only Mohamed Salah (22) and Son Heung-min (20) in the hunt for the Golden Boot.
